GOOD. PROUD. ACTIVE. Serving Middle Tennessee since 2015
A nonprofit born from love after loss.
Founded in 2015 in the wake of the Chapel Hill tragedy, MMY was created to help our youth overcome hatred and rediscover the beauty of their community.
Our story
MMY was founded following the brutal slaying of three wonderful Muslim youths — Deah, Yusor, and Razan, in Chapel Hill, NC in 2015. We refer to them as the Three Winners.
It also grew out of the opposition our community faced during the building of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro. MMY was a way to help our youth move through the hatred and alienation of that time, and to show them, again and again, how beautiful their community really is.

Our mission
To help connect, develop, grow, learn from, and educate our youth from all age groups through working together and serving the community.
The success of any event isn't our measure. The growth of the youth leading it is.
Our Objectives, Work, Motto & Logo
About
Our objectives are to provide our youth with opportunities to serve the community we live in, foster relationships with one another, and enhance the good nature in each one of them, all while developing a sense of pride in our Muslim identity.
Our motto is Good. Proud. Active.
Good in all acts of service, proud of our faith Islam, and active in our community at large.
Our work spans three areas: youth empowerment, community service, and interfaith engagement.
Our logo has three diverse colored figures representing the Three Winners (Deah, Yusor, and Razan) reaching from within a dome (our faith Islam) to the community around them.
You can see our milestones and more in our annual report.
