In 2020, COVID-19 hit and the needs of the community came rushing in. As a small youth organization, MMY was overwhelmed but overcame the obstacles with innovative ways to serve: making masks for health care workers and teachers, delivering meals to the homes of elders and children, and helping people in crisis. In August 2020, MMY also moved into its first office space, which later opened as the MMY Center.

In their words
MMY jumps right on community issues and needs as they occur, and brings people and resources in to solve them. I am always so impressed!
Melissa Cross, Habitat for Humanity2020 annual report
I cannot say enough how much their support and partnership means to Nourish, and how much it impacts the families we serve together across this community.
There is not a local organization that I can think of that embodies the love, hard work ethic, stamina, persistence, consistency, and ambition that is needed to effect change on a massive scale, other than the MMY.
Jeni Sanders, Soles4Souls2020 annual report
For almost 3 weeks the Murfreesboro Muslim youth delivered hot meals daily to the community.
