2021 annual report

As the community emerged from the height of the pandemic, MMY grew with its neighbors' needs. The MMY Center opened as MMY's first physical space, 14 youth stepped up to lead service projects, and MMY received GuideStar's highest transparency seal.

2021 highlights

2021first physical space opens

MMY Center grand opening

MMY opened its first-ever physical space with an open house that drew visitors from all around.

MMY opened its first-ever physical space with an open house that drew visitors from all around. Youth had renovated, painted, furnished, and decorated the space after moving in during August 2020.

Warm meals were distributed every two weeks from the new center's drive-through.

1-12grades tutored

Tutoring

Tutoring began at the MMY Center for grades 1 through 12.

$18,000+spent on direct crisis needs

Crisis assistance

Tens of families were helped with rent, bills, transportation, and urgent needs, with over $18,000 spent on direct crisis needs.

700+pairs of shoes donated

Community drives

Over 700 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls, 300+ care kits for neighbors experiencing homelessness, gifts for health care workers, and thousands of school supplies.

500+meals home-delivered

Giving Thanks by Giving

The largest Thanksgiving event to that point, with over 500 meals home-delivered, made possible in large part by The Alley.
