Murfreesboro Muslim Youth offers free food boxes and crisis support to families in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County. Help is free, confidential, and open to everyone, whatever your faith or background.

MMY is an all-volunteer group, not a staffed emergency service. In most cases, we are not able to respond to emergencies or to requests that need an immediate response. If you're in immediate danger, call 911. For other urgent needs, call 211.

Facing a housing crisis? MMY provides limited, short-term housing assistance to local families, paid directly to the housing provider. Requests must be local and verified or referred by a partner nonprofit.

New to Murfreesboro? Our team speaks more than nine languages and can help newcomers with food and other needs. Our refugee resettlement program is currently on hold because new arrivals to our area have stopped.

Is help from MMY free?

Yes. Food boxes and housing assistance are free to families and funded by local donors.

How do I request a food box?

What kind of crisis help does MMY offer?

Limited, short-term housing assistance for local families experiencing financial hardship, subject to verification, eligibility, and available funding. Payments are made directly to the housing provider. MMY is unable to help with utility bills, transportation, car repairs, or other personal expenses.
