An annual Ramadan iftar honoring nonprofit leaders, faith partners, and volunteers in Murfreesboro and Rutherford County.
The people who serve Murfreesboro and Rutherford County don't always know each other. Our Appreciation Iftar fixes that.
Each Ramadan, we invite nonprofit leaders, faith partners, and community volunteers to share an evening with us, breaking our fast together at sunset in gratitude for the work they do alongside us all year long.
What we do
An iftar is the meal that breaks the daily fast during Ramadan. Since 2016, our Appreciation Iftar has honored local nonprofits, civic leaders, first responders, and volunteers, sharing that meal with them at sunset.
It is one of our flagship events, celebrating the nonprofit community while building bridges and showing care.
