In 2017, MMY helped form Murfreesboro Loves, launched its MTSU scholarship and Little Free Library, welcomed hundreds of refugees through Roots for Refugees, and held its first Appreciation Iftar for local nonprofits.

In November, MMY helped form Murfreesboro Loves, which united the community in the face of a planned hate rally.
$500x2 annual scholarships
Launched in April in memory of Deah, Yusor, and Razan, providing two annual $500 scholarships through the MTSU Foundation.
700+free meal vouchers
With Kwik Mart on Front Street and the Murfreesboro Cold Patrol, MMY launched free hot meal vouchers.

300+refugees helped
Roots for Refugees joined MMY's refugee work.
Roots for Refugees joined MMY's refugee work. Across the year, 300+ refugees were helped, 100+ washers and dryers delivered, 60+ driver's licenses obtained, 20+ cars provided or facilitated, and 60+ houses furnished.
15+organizations recognized
Over 15 organizations were recognized and more than 100 people attended.
2017Little Free Library launched
With VALOR Schools, MMY launched its Little Free Library program.

100sattended the peace rally
MMY co-organized a peace rally in downtown Murfreesboro that drew hundreds.
4honors and awards received
Abdou Kattih was named the DNJ's Person of the Year for 2016, MMY received CAIR Alabama's Community Service Award and the Murfreesboro Fire and Rescue Community Service Award, volunteer Safa Baher received AMAC's volunteer award, and MMY was invited to present at Harvard University's Symposium on Religious Literacy.
150+Thanksgiving meals served
Co-sponsored the city schools' Pre-K program for underprivileged children, served 150+ Thanksgiving meals, and provided hundreds of meals to first responders and law enforcement during a protest in Murfreesboro.
