On the last weekend in October 2017, the Murfreesboro Public Square was a ghost town as everyone prepared for a rally of white nationalists.
Murfreesboro Loves was formed by a group of activists to showcase that our community is about Love not hate.
Hundreds of community members rallied at the city entrances holding signs of love and rejection of hate.
This marked the birth of Murfreesboro Loves. MMY was one of the organizers then. In 2018, the organizers voted for the MMY to take ownership and hold the name Murfreesboro Loves.
